Our Story
Founded in 2008 by Fitzgerald David, a Haitian-American from Boston, Save Our Streets-Boston aims to uplift the community by providing essential support and guidance. Fitzgerald's journey from St. Kevin's School in Dorchester to Boston Latin School and Northeastern University exemplifies the power of education and opportunity. With a background in Computer Engineering Technology, Fitzgerald now works as a Computer Technician while passionately advocating for community development.
Save Our Streets-Boston believes that by creating a dynamic network of organizations, residents can access the many development programs available to them. The organization recognizes that a significant contributor to crime in Boston is the lack of alternative activities. In 2013, the city faced 40 murders, highlighting the urgent need for change. By offering constructive diversions, such as dance performances and educational programs, SOS-Boston aims to shift perspectives and inspire individuals to pursue their dreams.
