Through successful advocacy, SHN! has secured landmark status for significant properties in Harlem, including the Harlem YMCA and the Dorrance Brooks Square Historic District, the first NYC historic district named in honor of an African American. The organization continues to strive for more designations, ensuring the preservation of Harlem's rich heritage.
