Since its inception in 2004, Savannah Children's Theatre has fostered a collaborative environment where families can create theatre together. Offering classes in Creative Dramatics, Dance for Musical Theatre, and Aerial Arts, SCT provides opportunities for children and guardians to perform side by side. The theatre's field trip program, "Let’s Put on a Play," has reached over 154,000 students across Georgia and South Carolina, with 70% experiencing live theatre for the first time.
SCT serves the Savannah community through three unique programs: community theatre productions, after-school classes, and school field trips. Each class is tailored to the needs of the students, ensuring an inclusive and diverse environment where all are welcome.
