Our Story

The Sarah Siddons Society was founded in 1952 by a group of passionate theater enthusiasts in Chicago, inspired by the fictional society in the film All About Eve. Since its incorporation as a non-profit organization in 1960, the Society has dedicated itself to funding scholarships for promising theater students at top universities in the Chicago area.
