Our Story

The Santa Paula Theater Center was established in 1985 by veteran actors Bill Lucking and Dana Elcar, who sought to enrich the local community through the performing arts. Initially starting in the basement of the First Presbyterian Church, the theater has grown to become a cultural cornerstone in Ventura County since moving to its current location in 1987.
