The Santa Lucia Festival, founded in 1925 by Grazia Bonafede Caniglia, connects Omaha's Italian immigrant community with their rich heritage and faith. This vibrant festival recreates the traditions of Grazia's hometown in Sicily, fostering unity and spiritual renewal.

For nearly a century, the Santa Lucia Festival has strengthened cultural ties within the Italian community in Omaha, providing support during challenging times, including earthquake relief efforts for Carlentini in 1990.
