Our Story

The Santa Fe Reptile and Bug Museum, formerly known as the Harrell House Bug Museum, was founded in 2013. After facing unexpected challenges in 2022, it transitioned into a nonprofit organization. The museum is dedicated to fostering a connection between people and the natural world through engaging exhibits and hands-on experiences with unique creatures, artifacts, and fossils.

Impact

With approximately 70,000 visitors, the museum plays a vital role in the community, especially for families. It offers educational outreach programs that enhance understanding and appreciation of often misunderstood creatures, contributing significantly to environmental education and conservation efforts.
