Our Story
The Santa Fe Farmers’ Market Institute was founded in 2002 by a dedicated group of farmers and community members aiming to create a permanent home for the Farmers’ Market, which has been a staple since 1968. The Institute manages the market and supports local farmers, culminating in the construction of a dedicated market pavilion in 2008.
Impact
Since its inception, the Institute has facilitated nearly $1 million in food stamp transactions and provided over $800,000 in microloans, significantly enhancing access to fresh produce for underserved populations.
