Our Story

Founded in 1951 by Gertrude and Walter Baugher, the Santa Clarita Valley Scholarship Foundation Inc was established to provide financial assistance to students in the William S. Hart Union High School District. In 1976, the foundation became a formal 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, dedicated to recognizing and rewarding exemplary work while encouraging higher education for graduating seniors.

Impact

Each year, the SCVSF awards over 150 scholarships, totaling upwards of $300,000, significantly enhancing local students' access to higher education.
