About Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network
Founded in 1988 by a dedicated group of animal lovers, the Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network (SBWCN) was established to address the urgent need for wildlife rescue in the Santa Barbara area. Over the years, SBWCN has evolved from a volunteer-driven initiative operating out of various homes and clinics to a fully licensed wildlife rehabilitation organization with a permanent facility located in the scenic Goleta foothills.
Impact on Wildlife
Each year, SBWCN averages 4,000 patients, covering over 200 different species, thanks to the tireless efforts of more than 300 active volunteers. This organization plays a crucial role in the Santa Barbara community, providing rehabilitative care and education about living harmoniously with wildlife.
