Our Story

Founded in 1887, Santa Barbara Humane is one of the first animal welfare agencies in the United States. Serving the communities of Santa Barbara and Santa Maria, this organization provides low-cost veterinary care, pet adoption, and animal rehoming services.

Impact

In 2020, Santa Barbara Humane performed over 20,000 veterinary services, assisted 1,000 families through the TLC Fund, and placed 1,400 animals in loving homes, showcasing a strong commitment to animal welfare.
