Our Story
Since 1962, volunteer search and rescue teams in Santa Barbara County have united ordinary community members dedicated to training for emergency situations. The early teams, formed in Santa Barbara, Lompoc, and Santa Maria, laid the groundwork for a tradition of service that thrives today. Over the years, these volunteers have devoted countless hours to mastering rescue procedures. In 2001, the various teams unified into a single county-wide team, exemplifying the power of community collaboration in helping others.
