The Santa Barbara County Food Action Network (SBCFAN) was established to implement the Santa Barbara County Food Action Plan, focusing on building a resilient food system. Located in Santa Barbara County, this organization connects and empowers local food actors to create a healthy, equitable community.

Impact of SBCFAN

Through its Youth Wellness Initiatives, SBCFAN has reached over 6,700 students across 79 schools in 21 districts, educating them on healthy eating and food origins. The organization also promotes food access and sustainability through innovative programs like a meat processing enterprise and food justice microgrants.
