Our Story
Sankofa Montessori embarked on its educational journey as a public charter school, receiving its charter from the Georgia State Charter School Commission in 2021. Officially opening in July 2023, the school began with Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades, and plans to add a new grade each year until reaching 6th grade. The mission is to empower children with the knowledge, skills, and agency needed to lead purposeful lives. At Sankofa Montessori, education is viewed as an exciting journey, with students navigating their path supported by dedicated staff and engaged parents.
