Sandy Springs Education Force has a rich history of adapting to the educational needs of the community since its inception in 1990. Originally formed as Greater North Fulton Education 2000, the organization has evolved through various phases, responding to the challenges faced by public school students, particularly those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. In 2004, the organization became dormant but was revitalized in 2008 with a commitment from the Couchman-Noble Foundation, officially rebranding as Sandy Springs Education Force.

Today, SSEF operates in one of the most affluent cities in the U.S., where nearly 60% of public school students face economic hardships. The organization implements collaborative, results-driven programs that have positively impacted thousands of at-risk students and the broader public school population. With a dedicated team and a twenty-one member board, SSEF focuses on improving academic performance, attendance rates, and facilitating transitions to post-secondary education.
