Sandy Spring Falcons

Our Story

The Sandy Spring Athletic Association, known as the Sandy Spring Falcons, was founded in 2012 as a not-for-profit youth sports organization. With roots tracing back to the mid-1950s through the Catholic Youth Organization football program, the Falcons have evolved to provide a safe and secure recreational environment for young athletes. After the discontinuation of the CYO football program in 1994, the organization expanded to include lacrosse and later transitioned to focus on baseball, growing from one team in 2013 to ten teams in 2023.

The Sandy Spring Falcons have successfully created a platform for young athletes to develop their skills in a nurturing environment. Many alumni have gone on to excel in high school and collegiate sports, showcasing the program's effectiveness in fostering both athletic talent and personal growth.
