Our Story

The Sand Springs Education Foundation was established in 1989 by local businessman Montie Box to foster community and private sector relationships with the Sand Springs School System. This initiative began with a fundraiser aimed at supporting local schools, leading to the creation of a foundation dedicated to collecting and distributing contributions for the benefit of students.

By providing grants for programs and teaching projects that lack funding from traditional sources, the Foundation enhances the educational experience for students and teachers in the Sand Springs Public Schools.
