Founded in 2006, Project Next, originally known as PACE Promise, is dedicated to helping San Marcos Unified students access higher education. The organization has evolved to provide a range of programs that prepare high school students for their future, focusing on those who are socioeconomically disadvantaged, first-generation college students, and students of color.
Over 6,000 students have benefited from Project Next's initiatives, exploring career opportunities and gaining essential professional skills. In 2023, 98% of participants in the Next Level programs graduated with a career plan, and 100% received upskilling.
