The San Luis Obispo Wind Orchestra, affectionately known as SLO Winds, is a dedicated ensemble of 45 talented wind and percussion musicians. Founded in 1999 by William V. Johnson, the orchestra has been a vibrant part of the Central Coast of California's cultural landscape. With a mission to perform the finest works for wind band, SLO Winds captivates audiences through a series of five to six concerts each year, reaching thousands of music lovers.
