Our Story
Founded in 1988, the Center for Family Strengthening (CFS) emerged from the dedication of concerned citizens and professionals in San Luis Obispo County. Designated by the County Board of Supervisors, CFS leads local efforts to prevent and respond to child abuse and neglect.
Impact
CFS has successfully provided critical family services to thousands each year. With 90% of women in the Nurse-Family Partnership program completing it, the outcomes for mothers and babies are remarkable, including high rates of healthy births and breastfeeding.
