Our Story

Established in 1966 under the guidance of Dr. Joseph Middleton, MiddleHouse has been a beacon of hope for those struggling with alcoholism in San Luis Obispo County. Supported by community members, this residential facility has expanded over the years to better serve its mission. The addition of an Annex in 1975 increased capacity, allowing MiddleHouse to accommodate 14 residents on their journey to recovery.
