Our Story
The San Luis Obispo Children's Museum first opened its doors in 1990, transforming a former transmission shop into a vibrant space for learning and creativity. After facing structural challenges, the Museum underwent a significant reconstruction from 2005 to 2008, raising over $5 million to create a world-class facility. Since reopening, the Museum has welcomed close to 50,000 guests each year, providing a rich environment for children to explore and learn through interactive exhibits and programs.
