Our Story

Founded in 1995 by Thomas P. McGuiness and LeLand Kaiser, the San Gabriel Valley Consortium on Homelessness began as the East San Gabriel Valley Task Force on Homelessness. The initial meetings aimed to validate the homelessness situation in the San Gabriel Valley, identify existing resources, and uncover gaps in support. Over the years, the Consortium has grown into a vital network of nearly 400 agencies dedicated to addressing homelessness.

Our Impact

Since its inception, the Consortium has hosted multiple summits and outreach projects, significantly improving resource availability and community engagement in the San Gabriel Valley.
