Our Story
The San Francisco Housing Development Corporation was founded in 1988 by Black community leaders to combat the displacement of African Americans in San Francisco. Focused on the Bayview Hunters Point and Fillmore neighborhoods, SFHDC is dedicated to creating affordable housing and providing essential services.

With over 1,600 affordable homes developed, SFHDC serves approximately 5,000 residents annually, fostering stability and community growth.
