The San Francisco General Hospital Foundation was established in 1993, inspired by the dedication of caregivers at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. This foundation is committed to enhancing public health through funding special projects and education initiatives that embody equity, compassion, and respect for all community members.

With an impressive $143 million raised through the Heart of our City Campaign, the Foundation plays a crucial role in supporting ZSFG, the only Level 1 trauma center in San Francisco and northern San Mateo counties, ensuring world-class care for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
