The San Diego Chinese Women’s Association, originally founded in 1981 as the San Diego Chinese Women’s Club, began with a vision from ten dedicated women. Their goal was to support the San Diego Chinese Center, and their first meeting attracted thirty passionate individuals. Now, as a tax-exempt corporation since June 26, 1990, SDCWA continues to thrive, fostering cultural awareness and community engagement.
SDCWA is dedicated to promoting Chinese cultural awareness and supporting charitable organizations, while also encouraging higher education through scholarship awards.
