Our Story

San Diego Pride was established in 1974, originating as a program of The Center for Social Services. It produced the first Lesbian and Gay Parade in San Diego, commemorating the 1969 Stonewall Rebellion. Incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 1994, it continues to champion pride, equality, and respect for LGBTQ communities both locally and globally.

Impact

With over $3 million donated to LGBTQ-serving nonprofits, San Diego Pride runs year-round education, advocacy, and community service programs, making it the largest civic event in the region.
