Founded in 1957 by Pat Platt and Kay Kitchen, the San Diego Guild of Puppetry began with 12 passionate puppeteers. As the fifth guild chartered by Puppeteers of America, it has grown from performing for young children to offering educational outreach and performances for audiences of all ages.
Teaching, training, and inspiring students from preschool through college, the Guild's giant puppet parade programming engages up to 600 participants.
