Our Story

Since 1887, the San Diego Center for Children has been dedicated to providing life-changing support for youth and their families. As the oldest children's nonprofit in San Diego, the Center has evolved to meet the community's needs, offering a range of mental and behavioral health services across multiple program sites in San Diego County.

In 2023, the Center served over 11,000 youth, achieving remarkable outcomes such as 0% of youth being discharged to a lower or same level of care after treatment and 0% avoiding psychiatric hospitalization. These results highlight the effectiveness of the programs offered.
