Our Story
The San Antonio Association of Hispanic Journalists was founded in 1987 to enhance the representation of Hispanic journalists in the media landscape of San Antonio. With over 100 members, including journalists, communication professionals, and educators, SAAHJ is dedicated to fostering diversity in newsrooms.
Impact
Since its inception, SAAHJ has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships to aspiring journalists. In 2020, the organization awarded a record $52,500 in scholarships to 15 students, showcasing its commitment to nurturing the next generation of media professionals.
