Our Story
Founded in 1970 by the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Appleton, Wisconsin, Samaritan Counseling Center has evolved to meet the mental health needs of the community. Originally known as Appleton Pastoral Counseling Center, it became Fox Valley Pastoral Counseling Center before adopting the name Samaritan in 2006, reflecting its affiliation with the Samaritan Institute.
Our Impact
With national accreditation since 1996, Samaritan provides essential outpatient counseling programs led by licensed therapists. These services address emotional, spiritual, and relational challenges, significantly enhancing access to mental health services for both youth and adults.
