Salt City Harvest Farm

Our Story

Salt City Harvest Farm is a transformative project that connects Northside Community members with land to foster sustainability. Initiated by the generous donation of 36 acres of farmland by the Letcher family, this initiative empowers families served by the Franciscan Church of the Assumption food pantry to cultivate their own vegetables and produce. The farm has become a vital resource for the Syracuse Northside community, particularly for refugees who seek fresh produce that reflects their cultural heritage.

Impact

Since its inception, Salt City Harvest Farm has produced thousands of pounds of food, enriching the plates of Central New York residents.
