Our Story
The Salem Rowing Club was founded decades ago by passionate scullers in Salem. Initially, boats were stored in a local storage unit until a partnership with Western Oregon University led to the construction of a boathouse in Independence Riverview Park. After a period of dormancy, the club was revived in 2012, now known as Salem Rowing Club 2.0, bringing together rowing enthusiasts once again.
Impact
Since its revival, Salem Rowing Club has created a vibrant rowing community, offering members the chance to compete in regional and national races, achieving remarkable placements.
