Our Story

Founded in 1970, SAL Community Services began as Skip-a-Long Daycare, established by a group of concerned citizens to provide quality care for children of low-income working families. Over the years, SAL has expanded its services to include a variety of programs that support children, families, and individuals across a bi-state, 17-county region from the Quad Cities to Peoria.
