Our Story
Founded in 1989, Sakhi for South Asian Survivors has been a leader in the survivor-led movement against gender-based violence. The organization embraces the diversity and strength of all survivors across various gender expressions and sexual identities.
Impact
In 2023, Sakhi distributed over $1,000,000 in rental assistance to survivors and their families, supporting 523 individuals and expanding its helpline to offer assistance in over seven South Asian languages.
