Our Story

The journey of Saint Joseph's Family Hope Center began with Karen Olson's compassionate response to a homeless woman in need. In 1986, she initiated the first interfaith hospitality network in New Jersey, which grew into a national movement known as Family Promise. In 2001, the Delaware County Interfaith Hospitality Network was established, evolving into the Saint Joseph's Family Hope Center in 2023. This center is dedicated to providing shelter and comprehensive case management for families experiencing homelessness.
