Our Story

In the early 1980s, Mother Mary Margaret envisioned a recovery center to combat the rising rates of drug and alcohol addiction among young people in Chicago. Although initial plans faced funding challenges, the dream persevered. Nearly 40 years later, the Order of St. Anne Chicago realized this vision by establishing St. Anne's Home, a sanctuary for women recovering from substance abuse. With the unwavering support of dedicated individuals, including the late Reverend Frank C. Alderson, St. Anne's Home opened its doors in 2017, providing a vital service to the community.
