About Safelight

Safelight, Inc. is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to breaking the cycle of interpersonal violence. Since 1984, it has provided trauma-informed services to survivors of interpersonal violence, sexual assault, and child abuse, helping them build new, violence-free lives in Henderson County, NC.

Impact

In 2022, Safelight answered 720 crisis calls, sheltered 162 individuals, and served 319 children through its Child Advocacy Center, demonstrating a significant impact on the local community.
