Founded in 1989 by concerned citizens, SafeHouse of Shelby County emerged to address the urgent need for a domestic violence shelter. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services to provide comprehensive support for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, ensuring that help is available to all, regardless of background.
Impact
In the last fiscal year, SafeHouse responded to over 1,900 crisis calls and assisted more than 490 victims. Since its inception, the organization has provided a safe haven for over 5,000 individuals, making a profound impact in the community.
