Founded in 1996 by the City of Seattle Human Services Department, SafeFutures Youth Center is dedicated to assisting at-risk Southeast Asian youth and their families. Over the years, the organization has expanded its reach to serve diverse populations, including East African, African American, Native American/Alaskan Native, Latino, and Pacific Islander youth. SafeFutures provides a safe and supportive environment where young people can learn, grow, and thrive.
As of 2023, approximately 92% of youth participating in SafeFutures programming are on track to graduate high school or have already graduated. Furthermore, 63% are pursuing post-secondary education, and 100% of participants in the 2023 Internship program reported significant skill development and prosocial engagement.
