Our Story
The Sacramento Women’s Chorus, founded in 1987, has blossomed from a small group of less than a dozen singers to a vibrant ensemble of over 75 members. This 501c3 nonprofit organization is dedicated to musical excellence while giving voice to women’s hopes and dreams. Recognized as a vital part of the Sacramento art and activist community, the chorus performs at events that promote equality, peace, justice, and women’s issues. Inclusivity is at the heart of the chorus, welcoming all adults who sing in the soprano/alto range, including women, gender expansive, nonbinary, and transgender individuals.
