Our Story

Founded in July 2013, the Sacramento Regional Coalition to End Homelessness (SRCEH) emerged from a community-driven initiative led by Bob Erlenbusch. The coalition's board comprises individuals with lived experiences of homelessness, civil rights attorneys, healthcare professionals, and advocates for homeless youth and housing. SRCEH received its nonprofit status in April 2014, following an initial capacity-building grant from the Sierra Health Foundation.

Impact

In 2022, the Point in Time Count revealed approximately 9,300 individuals experiencing homelessness in Sacramento County, with estimates suggesting that between 16,500 and 20,000 people face homelessness annually. Alarmingly, at least 70% of these individuals are unsheltered, marking a significant increase since 2019.
