Rwandan Orphans Project

Our Story
In the early 2000s, vulnerable children in Rwanda sought refuge in a half-built warehouse in Nyabugogo. Overwhelmed by the number of children needing help, a local church provided some assistance. In 2005, Dr. Paul Oas and Dr. Ron Reinsch visited Rwanda and were deeply moved by the plight of these children. This inspired them to establish the Rwandan Orphans Project, aiming to raise funds and improve living conditions. Since then, the organization has transitioned from a makeshift shelter to the Imizi Children’s Center, symbolizing hope and new beginnings.
Our Impact
The Rwandan Orphans Project currently supports over 250 vulnerable children, providing essential needs, education, and a safe environment. The organization has successfully reunited over 200 children with their families or placed them with reliable foster carers, ensuring ongoing support for their education and well-being.
