About the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society

Founded in 1983, the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society (RJOS) began as a support network for women orthopaedic surgeons. Starting with just 42 members, RJOS has grown to over 1,400 members, primarily in North America, but also including international female orthopaedists. The organization is dedicated to promoting the professional development of women in orthopaedics at every stage of their careers.

Impact of RJOS

RJOS provides essential grants and scholarships to residents, medical students, and practicing surgeons, funded by generous industry groups and individual donors. This funding creates significant research and educational opportunities for the next generation of orthopaedic leaders.

Why Donate?
