Our Story
The Ruskin Art Club, founded on October 12, 1888, is the oldest women's club in Los Angeles. Established by Mary E. Boyce and other pioneering members, the club was inspired by John Ruskin's philosophies of the Arts and Crafts movement. Its mission has always been to elevate societal values through art, supporting local artists, musicians, and writers. Since the 1980s, the club has embraced men as members, continuing its legacy of fostering artistic expression and community engagement through various programs and events.
