Our Story

The Rural Organizing Project (ROP) was founded in the early 1990s to combat the rise of conservative movements in rural Oregon. By connecting human dignity groups, ROP promotes values-based organizing to foster a progressive vision of democracy.

Impact

ROP has mobilized rural communities to defeat anti-immigrant measures and promote human dignity, achieving significant victories in local elections and preserving Oregon's sanctuary law.
