About Running 4 Heroes

Running 4 Heroes began with a young boy named Zechariah Cartledge, who was inspired by the bravery of First Responders. With a passion for running and a heart for service, he founded this nonprofit in 2019 to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Together with other Youth Runners, they run one mile for every fallen First Responder, ensuring their legacy lives on.

Impact of Running 4 Heroes

Since its inception, Running 4 Heroes has awarded nearly $500,000 in grants to injured First Responders and over $350,000 to the families of fallen heroes. The organization also provides scholarships for youth runners and supports local police departments with essential supplies.
