In Kenya, over 16 million people live in extreme poverty, with many women facing unimaginable challenges. The ROSE Women’s Foundation, founded by Allie Amoroso, emerged from a profound encounter with women like Cecilia, who struggled to survive in the slums of Nairobi. Allie’s journey began during her study abroad, where she discovered the power of social entrepreneurship to uplift women and their families.

Through ROSE, Allie has helped over 150 women launch small businesses, providing them with the tools and support needed to escape poverty. The organization’s mission is to empower women through Micro-Enterprise Business Training, Microfinance, and Coaching, enabling them to create sustainable livelihoods.

Impactful Change

Theresia, a single mother of seven, transformed her life through ROSE. After completing the one-year program, she now earns $1,300 a month selling fabrics and baby clothes, while also mentoring new ROSE women. This is just one of many success stories that highlight the impact of ROSE’s programs.
