Our Story

The Rose Garden Restoration Committee was established in 1995 by passionate citizens and rose enthusiasts dedicated to revitalizing the Central Park Rose Garden in Schenectady, NY. Originally founded in 1960, the garden flourished in the 1970s but fell into disrepair due to budget cuts. Today, the committee works tirelessly to restore and maintain this cherished community space.

Our Impact

Through dedicated efforts, the Rose Garden Restoration Committee has transformed the Central Park Rose Garden, elevating its status to 'outstanding' with the All-America Rose Selection group. The garden now boasts 4,000 vibrant rose bushes, providing a beautiful venue for community events, photography, and relaxation.
