Our Story

Founded in 2020 by dedicated alumni of Roosevelt High School, Roosevelt Alumni for Racial Equity (RARE) is committed to addressing historical and ongoing racial inequities in education. The organization focuses on initiatives that uplift disadvantaged students of color, particularly within Seattle schools.

Impact

In 2023, RARE successfully raised nearly $100,000, funding scholarships and community initiatives that promote racial equity. The organization’s documentary film has sparked vital discussions on systemic racism and equity in education across schools and community organizations.
